Princess of the Night by ChrisWithATa Princess of the Night by ChrisWithATa
Edit: I forgot to photograph her with the base I made for her!
She was dropped and I had to resculpt and paint her.

I have finished my Nightmare Moon sculpture!!! I chose a very ambitious second project for sure but I am so happy with the way she turned out and love her to pieces. I managed to balance her perfectly so she can stand up on her own.

She's made out of polymer oven bake clay(25% Sculpey firm, 75% Super Sculpey), hand painted with acrylic paints and sealed with matte finish.

It's so smooth, that looks amazing! Can I ask about your methods? I've started sculpting recently and am constantly trying out different ways to do everything.

I've looked at :iconhoikarnage:, :iconemilysculpts: and :iconcadmiumcrab:'s work a lot(its amazing and if you don't follow them you should!) and its a lot of smoothing(using vaseline and alcohol) and sanding with multiple grit sandpapers. I hope that helps a little bit. There are some amazing tutorials on here and I have a few in my favorites under sculpture. :D
